The first game has sold over 10 million copies since its release in 2017 and the ending left off for a second chapter. Horizon Zero Dawn 2 will pick up where the first game left off in terms of story. This is something people have been waiting three years for and now that it looks like it just might live up to the original excitement is sure to ensue across the board. Horizon Zero Dawn's sequel was always a safe bet. Maybe the one thing this trailer and the Future of Gaming event didn’t provide is a solid release date for Horizon Forbidden West. Gamers will no doubt have their hands full, playing through this gorgeous map, discovering what set the apocalypse in motion, and taking on whatever side quests are laying around. Sylens seems to have dealt himself some kind of cybernetic enhancement, probably thanks to his alliance with HADES.
The NPC with an ambiguous moral compass from Horizon Zero Dawn is back. From what's been revealed so far, the sequel seems to continue with some narrative elements from Horizon Zero Dawn, such as a corruption-like plague sweeping over the land and causing plants and other biomatter to rapidly decay. The Forbidden West is the area west of Sunfall. It's not too much longer until the release of Horizon Forbidden West and the continuation of Aloy's story.
The final game in the trilogy will have everyone join together to fight the signal senders which may include Sylens being allied with Aloy. The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn - everything we know so far discussion - Janina Gavankar, an actress who played the character Tatai in The Frozen Wilds, revealed that Guerilla Studios are indeed working on a new title in the Horizon Zero Dawn franchise. Her mission seems to be finding the source of this new enemy as well as facing off against bad guys still emerging from the first game. Sequel is going to be Sylens using HADES and being a villain and further delving into the initial signal senders. In the trailer, Aloy talks about saving the world from new threats which appears to be manifesting in some kind of leafy red menace.
